Getting there
Lei Dang sits at the Perfect Vessel Estate, the last stretch of the Mirage Estate run — past the Willow Pavilion and Leng Tu’s Study, in the central chamber where the upgrade materials are. It is a required encounter on the main story, so the fight comes to you.
The estate itself only opens after the three Serpent items are used to unseal the passage in the Green Serpent House.
How to fight him
Two forms, and one ring that ends runs
He fights in two forms: the Tiger Cannon at range and a one-armed tiger up close. Three things carry the damage — the cannon shots, the hammer, and a wide shockwave along the ground.
Phase one is a straightforward exchange. Phase two is the one that ends runs, and it has a single rule.
“Heaven and earth, return to dust”
He leaps, calls the line out loud, and the ground answers: a ring of air spreads outward across the whole arena. Everything inside it dies.
What does not work:
- Running. The ring covers the arena. Distance is not a defence.
- Dodging. The dodge does not clear it. If you are standing in the open when it lands, you are done.
What does work:
- Stone cover. Get behind one of the pillars before the ring reaches you. This is the intended answer.
- A raised shield. Holding guard eats the hit — the fallback when you get caught in the open with nothing to hide behind.
- Stacked mitigation. Damage reduction from the fan accessory plus a defensive draught leaves you at a sliver of health rather than dead — enough to keep the attempt alive, not a comfortable plan.
Lock-on drops in phase two
The target lock stops holding in the second phase, and he uses the gap: he dashes out of frame and comes back with a red-flash attack you never saw start.
Two workarounds:
- Reload. Exit to the menu and load back in — the lock-on returns.
- Watch the edges of the screen, not the centre. If you keep the camera wide you can catch the dash before it lands.
